Practice Overview

Federal and State Felonies and Misdemeanors

Nathans & Biddle defends the rights of individuals investigated, arrested and accused of state and federal felonies, misdemeanors and serious traffic offenses. The firm's extensive trial experience, includes defending clients charged with conspiracy, kickbacks, insider trading, bribery, environmental violations, false statements, RICO, money laundering, embezzlement, and all types of fraud, including health care, mortgage/real estate/flipping, securities, bank, wire, mail, tax, immigration and insurance fraud, murder, possession and distribution of narcotics, internet sex offenses, assault and drunk driving.

Successful representation by Nathans & Biddle attorneys has led to numerous trial acquittals, dismissed charges and decisions by federal and state prosecutors to decline bringing criminal charges.

Larry Nathans and Booth Ripke recently gained an acquittal for a client in an Anne Arundel County Circuit Court trial.  The client had been previously convicted with other counsel based in large part on the testimony of a single witness.  After the witness testified in the second trial, was cross-examined by Mr. Nathans, and the client was acquitted, false statement charges were brought against the witness and the witness was subsequently found guilty.

Nathans & Biddle attorneys have represented clients charged criminally with or under investigation by federal prosecutors in Baltimore, Greenbelt, the District of Columbia, Alexandria, Charlottsville, New York, Harrisburg, Cleveland, Akron, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa, Atlanta, Savannah, Nashville, Birmingham, Fayetteville, and Puerto Rico.
